We are one of Minecraft's oldest servers. Our map dates back over 11+ years and our server has had an uptime of 99%. We have over 600 challenges that will keep you occupied for months. All of our challenges have been developed tested and curated by our membership base who have completed our Hardcore set of challenges.

We are strongly against pay-to-win features and have been a privately funded server for the entirety of our existence, amounting to over a decade of free and fair play for our community.

You yourself could one day be creating a challenge for our server that will remain for years to come.

Is there a reason we have no checkpoints as an option? 1 life just seems to have all the pros of it but none of the cons
Could someone explain specifically the difference, maybe I am being square brain but I don’t see it

On a no checkpoint challenge, when you die you get sent back to the start of the map and your progress is reset. On a 1 life challenge, when you die you lose the challenge but can still continue doing the map. It's useful if you'd for example want to speedrun heartless in its no deaths challenge, because if you die once on cp8-9 you would still want to finish the run rather than be sent back to the beginning. (since knocking down a hard life challenge AND a hard speedrun at the same time is very beneficial, also just useful if you want to practice the part you failed in preparation for your next attempt)

Also since ragnarok doesn't have insane kill potential, I'll suggest a hard challenge for it

Name of Challenge: Dragonslayers

Challenge Code: dragonslayers

Suggested Challenge Points: 750

Maps in the Challenge, sequentially: Ragnarok

Modifiers: Soul link, 1 life

If deemed too difficult, the life amount could be increased. However, the kill potential is essentially in cp5-6 and nowhere else, so it should be fine.

I agree that life-challenge: 1 should be preferred over no-checkpoints.

There is, however, still a use case in more complex challenges like heroic, odyssey, and the mimics, which don't want you to lose the challenge upon death, but don't want you to set any arbitrary checkpoint either.

Name of Challenge: Love Island (name creds to Buckley)
Challenge Code: island
Suggested Challenge Points: 175
Maps in the Challenge, sequentially: Survivor
Modifiers: Soul Link

Not completely set on the points, I figured 175 would be good compared to Outlandish Love (150) and Lost Souls (200), since I would say that the difficulty of Survivor is between these two maps as well as the death potential.

Name of Challenge: Got to go fast!
Challenge Code: gofast
Suggested Points: 50
Maps in the Challenge, in order: Supersonic, Palmtree Panic - Bad Future, Retro Runner Sonic
Modifiers: 1 Life

Points are a guess of how many points it would give, it may have to go down depending on if it is too high. These 3 maps have very little death potential so the one life is just if you fall in the water in RRS or fall into the lava in Palmtree Panic.

Name of Challenge: No room for error

Challenge Code: noroomforerror

Suggested Challenge Points: 1000

Maps in the Challenge, sequentially: Bookworm, Challenger Deep, Cranium, Depths, High-Tech Dig, Invasion, Cosmic Drop, Glimmer, Night Terrors, Shapes!, The 256 Drop, The Rabbit Hole, Crayons, Colorfall, Dropping 2, Nightmare, The Pit, Dimensions

Modifiers: 10 life challenge

Supposed to be a very hard dropper challenge including every "pure" dropper with very little lives, anything less than 10 would probably make this way harder than acceptable. Also it's essentially hexa in a nutshell.

Name of Challenge: The Badder Lands

Challenge Code: badderlands

Suggested Challenge Points: 1000

Maps in the Challenge, sequentially: Happy Thoughts, Sheol, Halcyon, Oculus, Magisterium: Ash, Cataclysm, Lost Soul, Thrice, Haydon Falls, Ragnarok

Modifiers: 50 life challenge

This may seem like few lives, but note that badlands 1 had hea carrying most of the weight, and everyone I knew who beat hea in that challenge also eventually beat the challenge, so I think 50 is much more interesting for the people who would try this challenge. Essentially, anyone who would seriously try this challenge is good enough that more than 50 just makes the lives uninteresting. I don't intend on beating this, but for you 3 crazy people who want this, I think it should exist.

Leaving this as a suggestion for now.

Name of Challenge: Glass Bones and Paper Skin

Challenge Code: glassbones

Suggested Challenge Points: 45 (?)

Maps in the Challenge, sequentially: Ant Hill -> Heavenly Ascent -> Inferno -> Ethereal -> Sandcastles

Modifiers: No Damage

- -

This challenge is meant to use the No Damage modifier in a way that requires some creative maneuvering or extra care to keep yourself alive. Intentionally chose all white maps for this one. Not the most familiar with challenge point value, this requires a tough jump or two but is generally pretty short.

Map is built similar to a rank up so it would be fun to do it in a minimal amount of lives
15 seems like a fine number to get past the dropper

It'd have to be a greenies+ challenge like legacyhexa since it has mimics and old agni. Some mimics have gameplay differences between mimic and FFA, which is why I didn't change any of them to their FFA counterparts. Since some mimics are forced to exist, I suppose there's no harm in keeping the rest to replicate the original challenge as well as possible.
