Why were you banned?
Not taking my previous appeal seriously, rude behaviour in my appeal for the initial ban
Why do you think you should be unbanned?Hello Minr Admins! This appeal is regarding my initial ban approximately 6 months ago now where I was - frankly pretty toxic towards your team and methods of management.
The ban suggested I should wait for 12 months, but allowed me to appeal "in 2023" (which I also checked with wavelyte before writing this appeal to confirm whether I was allowed to write it with the new year!)
So, let's get straight to it; there was no way for me to excuse the behaviour I shown in my initial appeal. I was caught red-handed and had no reason to feel resentment towards to the team - yet even when I did, I should not have put that into my appeal.
To address it more directly; I was sarcastic throughout the appeal, made jabs at the admin team for how it was handled, placed memes throughout it. To put it simply, just totally immature.
I attempted to have an apology sent out to the Admin that had to deal with my little tantrum here (Ajdj) through ilovenons, I'm not entirely sure if the apology reached AJ though I can take the time now to formally say, I am sorry for how I behaved.
Across the 6 months I've been absent from the server I've learnt a lot about how to behave like a normal functioning member of society and to keep my opinions to myself when they aren't productive.
Since then, I've been managing a build team full-time and learning to deal with frustration by solving things professionally rather than getting frustrated and causing arguments - it's taught me how to maintain a work environment and not create enemies for no reason.
I've made new friends in communities that have taught me how to stop judging people for their opinions and interests, which gave me a different outlook on my ban situation. I had a lot of people talk with me after the ban happened to help me realise how out of order I truly was in the situation - although at the time I recognised I was being rude, I didn't spare thoughts to the repercussions of acting that way.
Aptly the reason I am interested in playing on Minr again is for the community aspect of things! A large portion of my friend group and activities that I do online is linked to Minr in some capacity.
A few examples being;
- A friend of mine is currently facing difficulties with The Board team and I've been itching to help them with the large portion of builds they have been tasked with
- Being in Block Wars Origins (A Minecraft event featuring your guys' Beep Test game-mode) leaves teams wanting to play Beep Test in order to practice. It leaves me out of team practice, and it's frankly quite embarrassing to explain each time.
Apologies for the life story, since this ban was about my personal behaviour and opinions - it felt necessary LOL
To summarize; I've changed a lot since my initial appeal which I took as nothing more than a joke, I'm genuinely sorry to the admins I upset, I've had experience in a professional environment since then, as well as friends helping me with my perspective.
I make no excuses for my behaviour, I take full responsibility. I'm hoping to be unbanned so I have the ability to hang out with my friends that actively play your server!
Has agreed that the above is both honest and truthful:The ban suggested I should wait for 12 months, but allowed me to appeal "in 2023" (which I also checked with wavelyte before writing this appeal to confirm whether I was allowed to write it with the new year!)
