I think it would be easier for this server to have a system of Ban IDs, for staff to find the ban easier -- after all, I saw 3 people being banned in one minute.

Also, the Ban ID system would ensure that people that are not banned do not post ban appeals as the only way to get a ban ID would be via getting banned.

Popular servers, such as H_____ or C___C____ already have ban ID systems in place.

We already have a system for bans.

You aren't listed as blue because whities and blue forum priviledges would be the same, so it is not worth manually changing over everytime someone gets blue.

I asked for ban IDs, to make appeals easier.

Also, why am I listed as a white while I am clearly blue?
Forum ranks are manually updated by staff. Updating all whites to blue on the forums whenever they earn the rank would be a major hassle.

The blue rank on the forums is functionally identical to the default rank, as others explained below. The blue rank on the forums is leftover from a time many years ago where there were a few minute differences between blue/default in terms of content access that presently doesn't exist (Tekkit / FTB / side servers, freebuilding areas, etc.).

It's left around in case we ever need to differentiate between the two for future content, but there's nothing planned right now that would require the rank.

There are backend systems for staff to track bans in order for us to process appeals. I do not see the value of assigning bans an ID at this time; Our server is too small scale to benefit from it.
