This is the Muse album I've been waiting for since uhh Black Holes & Revelations.
Balance of the old heavy stuff from early days and the softer things (which by the way I enjoyed much more).

Ah, Aftermath. I love this one.

Probably my favorite on the album and arguably among the best they've ever made. 10 minutes, but every second of it worth it. Kinda reminds me of Radiohead's Paranoid Android with the whole soft-heavy-soft transitions.

The only thing that is a bit eh about the album is that it's too carried away in the concept it has. The word "Drones" or "killing machines" is used in almost literally every song.
Can't remember which reviews said that, but this entire album seems like Bellamy just read 1984 for the first time and couldn't stop talking about it so he said "hey guys, let's make an album about drones. it can have the same 3 words in all songs. fight the power! rise up against the evil governments!".... you get what I mean.




also drones, we must never forget drones.

Glad I'm not the only one that noticed Bellamy's complete obsession with using the same word in every song :p

Really enjoying the range of music on this album though.

I think we got the message. This album is obviously about ice cream. Or was that Blur's album...? >.>
