Do you want to participate in some low stakes summer fun? Then I welcome you to....
The Summer Splashdown!
This is a chill summer event which will start this monday (on the 14th) and run until the 27th.
Everyone partaking will be semi-randomly split up into 3 big teams which will all compete to earn points! Each point you earn will give your team one block to build things in your collaborative build area!
How to earn points!
At least one event will be held daily*, these will either be held in-game or on the minr discord, and anyone can participate! These will generally be announced sporadically a few hours ahead of time, last about an hour, and anyone can leave and join whenever they feel like. *Unless I have something significant I have to take care of irl
Some examples of what to expect:
- Individual smaller puzzles like anagrams, riddles etc
- Larger team puzzles where everyone on the team may have to work together to solve a larger puzzle
- Building / Gameplay challenges
In addition, on saturday the 19th and 26th respectively, a larger in-game event will be held (with an approximate runtime of 3 hours). More info on these will be provided later!
How do I sign up?
Simple! All you need to do is fill in this form here: https://forms.gle/YDHoRaYfyJggi5kH6
To keep team sizes about equal and avoid imbalance, your team will be decided randomly. You can however signup with up to 3 friends if you want to ensure you end up on the same team! In this case, select sign up as group and write in the names of your friends.
Has the event already started? No worries! You can still sign up as normal (or dm me!) And I'll get you onto a team.
There are 0 expectations or requirements of playtime, you may signup and partake in as many or as few of the events as you want.
This sounds fun, can I help in any way?
Yes! While I will be committing to hosting at least 1 event daily, the more the merrier! If you have something small you would want to try hosting or partake in any of the events and get a cool idea, dm me (marrimars) on discord! Anyone green+ can help host, even if you're already participating on a team! (You just wont be able to earn points for your own event.)
Are there any rewards?
Anyone who earns at least 1 point during the event will win a commemorative hat with the colours of the winning team!
Anyone who earns at least 50 points during the event will also get a special title.
