Hello,

I had an idea that I thought might be worth implementing. I think a lot of newcomers to the forums may be a little overwhelmed by all the threads and subsections we have. In addition to that, I feel like there are a number of users here who don't know how to integrate well into the community since there's no welcome section.

Therefore, I think we should have a beginners section, with a bunch of welcome threads and all the necessary info for navigating the forums and abiding by the rules.

Thoughts?

This could work, though forums are usually self-explanatory for me. Could just be me, though. Minr's forums don't seem too overwhelming.

What would be displayed in a welcome section?

The formatting does take some getting used to, but trying to steer newcomers throughout the forums might just make it more cluttered.

Funny you suggested this, I actually started making a beginners guide to the forums after a few people mentioned they don't know how to quote.
It's a great idea anyway.
