In 1.16, Mojang (Studios) has updated the third-person view, and you can now use F5 to see through glass.

This could be abused in a lot of mazes on the server where glass was originally put to prevent peeking over walls.

(Soar's Doormaze)

4926

(Helve)

A quick fix for the majority of these would be to put barriers as a second layer after the glass.

Here are a few maps I could find where it's currently possible to abuse this in some way, although there are probably more:
- Helve
- Soar's Doormaze
- Lookout
- Submerged (somewhat)
- Survivor (somewhat)
- Amalgam
- Crazy Cane

Fixed:
  • Helve (Half fixed, I cannot prevent people from looking up)
  • Soar's Door Maze
  • Lookout
  • The Test
  • Amalgam's first area (I think that's the only affected area?)
  • Crazy Zane
  • Original level1
I am ignoring Deranged since it's not a flat layer and would require more attention.

Survivor and Submerged and underwater and require a more complex touch. I also couldn't replicate the issue on Survivor.

It's probably safe to ignore Submerged considering how small it is. The same goes for Survivor, but for the opposite reason (how large it is). Thanks for taking a look 0l_!

Fixed 3d Maze & Invcitus this morning - these were missed in the initial sweep.

Also fixed Atari's opening maze this morning.

Added a visual queue to the parkour beneath it so that people not expecting a head-hitter wouldn't be surprised.
