this might be more of a notice to admins though:
you can set up 2 droppers( or dispensers) at spawn, one containing some bottles of enchanting, one containing the items to be named. (even better , scriptblocks!) you will need an anvil as well.
create a hopper system for storage, and on top of it put a chest. Select the chest as first and second position(wolrdguard), and create a region for it. Now flag that region with build deny, mob spawning deny , pvp deny, and chest-access allow. Then set the priority of that region to 100(/setpriority region 100) . This will allow them to open the chest and put stuff in, and the hoppers will take it all away.
for the naming issue, let them spawn in e.g. A golden nugget by this command (scriptblock bypass necessary!):

/minecraft:give <player> minecraft:name_tag 1 0 {display:{Name:"<player>"}}

I am, unfortunately, unable to make it . I have to help with an eagle project that day, and there is a really hype smash tournament I'm going to with some friends. Ill try and make it for round 5 whenever that is though
