Welcome to the Scavenger Hunt!
Hi everyone, it's your friendly neighborhood Scyxer-man; and as a wise man once said, 2021 is the Year of Search! And in such fashion, I am now introducing to you: Minr Scavenger Hunt!
What is the Scavenger Hunt?
The Scavenger Hunt event is a race between all players for the first to find a number of hidden collectibles that are scattered around Minr! But we won't just have you running around randomly - there is an Event Hub, where you can learn about the Event, receive clues as to the whereabouts of where the collectibles might be, and access some Scavenger Hunt exclusive maps!
What are the collectibles?
The collectibles are packages left behind by the Admins that you must round up and collect! The objective is to collect as many packages as you can in the 3 days that the event will be up for!
This is what the collectibles will look like:
Rules:
- Maintain Minr’s standard rules. This means no cheating, hacking, or public answer sharing.
- Players should only work in maximum groups of 3 - but to go further, I’d suggest for players to play on their own, as this is in my opinion the most fun way to participate in this event.
- Do not enter any of the event maps in creative.
- Greenies may only use commands that a whitie would have. This means no /calling!
- Be respectful to other players. Do not just follow someone around the entire event - do your best to ensure you and others are enjoying it to the fullest!
Rewards:
The Event offers a total of 450 Total Points; here's the breakdown:
- Scavenger Above: 100 Points
- Scavenger Below: 100 Points
- Scavenger Beyond: 100 Points
- White FFA Maps: 25 Points
- Blue FFA Maps: 50 Points
- Green FFA Maps: 75 Points
There are 3 available rewards:
- The Scavenger head for receiving 50% of Total Points in the Event!
- The Observer head for receiving 100% of Total Points in the Event!
- The Deep Explorer title for being the first player to receive 100% of Total Points in the Event!
- * The player must have worked alone for this last reward to apply
Additionally, each player who participated will receive the * Prefix for one month!
About The Hub
The hub contains 7 Booths:
- Scavenger Above Booth
- Scavenger Below Booth
- Scavenger Beyond Booth
- Rules
- FFA Maps
- Points
- Rewards
Scavenger Above, Below, and Beyond represent the 3 Scavenger Hunt-exclusive maps! Each of these maps contains 20 Collectibles, worth 5 points per collectible. These represent half of the event's gameplay, but 2/3 of the available points for the event!
The Rules Booth will provide you with the same ruleset that you see above. Please attend this booth first before participating in the event to refresh yourself of the rules. It's important that they are followed, to ensure everyone has fun!
The FFA Maps Booth represents the FFA portion of the Scavenger Hunt. 5 White maps, 5 Blue maps, and 5 Green maps in the Pure Parkour section of FFA contain one collectible each, providing 5, 10, or 15 points based on the map's difficulty. Via this booth, you will be provided with puzzles to figure out which maps contain collectibles! Each White map will be hidden with a riddle, each blue map hidden with a word association puzzle, and each green map hidden with an anagram puzzle.
The Points Booth will display your current points during the event! It will also display your current amount of completion for each separate section of the event.
The Rewards Booth will display the milestones that you need to reach to be eligible for a prize - and will also display the milestones you currently have reached!
When?
The Minr Scavenger Hunt will take place on Saturday, October 9th at 3:00PM EST (Conversions below). There is no sign-up, the event will be fully walk-in! Anyone and everyone who wants to participate will be allowed.
