I was recently doing this challenge called Crippled Classics, where you have to beat a set of maps without being able to sprint. Or at least, that was the idea. Although you can eat food to fill up your hunger bar, it would be removed and give you 3 food bars again if you moved. Perhaps you're already understanding where the problem comes in... I'll give some screenshots as well to give you a better understanding of what the problem is.
If you look at the screenshots below, you can notice that one screenshot is of me without any more than 3 food bars filled, as it normally should be. The other screenshot is of me with my food bars filled, but I haven't moved yet. However, if I were to stand on the edge of a block with my food bars filled and jump to another block, it takes some time for the system to register that I moved depending on my ping. (For me, it would be registered as I was already 3/4th through the jump, easily making it without any further problems.)
So, practically I can sprint on every jump that I was supposed to not sprint on. Furthermore, I can heal whenever I want (if that is not intended as well in a no-sprint challenge). The solution? It's probably best to remove all food when joining a challenge where you cannot sprint. After all, all maps are able to be completed without regeneration. The same should probably go for other maps that have no sprint and do not have food removed yet.
