What about sorting them by date created?
Sorting by date created is nearly impractical, let alone near impossible to find all map publish dates. Anything that was made before the map submissions is hardly doable to put a date creation on.

As for current sorting standards, difficulty is more or less vague basis, and also had no order relation other than that. Difficulty sorting with a second sort within based upon map title or map code would work more efficiently. Large color groups (e.g. FFA orange pure parkour) also are blending into giant blobs of color on the list.
