my opinion of the idea of a minecraft movie: *facepalm*

There is no built-in plot line

@Srentiln, a 'lego' movie, lego has no storyline either, but they still can make a movie out of it by just coming up with an idea for a movie and putting it in lego form (in this case minecraft).
Still though, I don't know why they do this, probably just the hype of minecraft at the moment.

My friend told me about this yesterday, I don't see what plot they would work at, but with the expected budget, I'm sure they'd get a great writing team. Even the cheesiest and most awkward ideas can give you chills at the end of a movie, if the staff is good. In my opinion.

Honestly the only kind of film minecraft could only pull off is a horror... Exploding creepers... Dark caves.. Zombies.. Which is useless when halve their audience is probably under 16. Something tells me if I came out of that film i'd have square eyes by the end of it.

The difference is that the lego movie is based off of the lego video games

Because this is probably just another way of milking the franchise (Lego Minecraft, anyone?) I can't see anything good coming out of this.

That being said, I'd still watch it.

there's seriously nothing else I can think of for a Minecraft Movie besides a documentary and a horror movie.
