Heya

Me and duckle were running through Kakashi and noticed that a part in the castle (after the fishing rod armour stand section, before the king's bedroom) was already solved and didn't reset no matter what we tried. The door to the king's bedroom should still be open right now if it hasn't been fixed / reset somehow. Also, I forgot to write down the coords to the general area, but if you tp to the coords of the cp5 sign then you'll be really close.

thanks :)

Dear nons,

please don't speedrun kakashi. It's all I have left in this world.

But on a more serious note, me and ryan encountered the same issue in our speedrun and had to forfeit our time because of it. Here's what we think causes it:

When you finish the room, it takes a certain amount of time to reset. So what happened to me and ryan is that we finished the room, finished that run, and started another run. But our next run was too fast, and we made it back to that room before the puzzle had time to reset from our previous run. I believe I told bailey a very shortened version of this just after our glitched run but this is definitely a more prominent description.

Please dont take our kakashi time nons. Leave me alone.

I already said this in #zero, but I'll say it here as well. This was mine and duckle's first playthrough, and from what I know there were no people in front of us (I didn't see any recent Kakashi completions) unless they stopped just before the last part. So I don't think it resets based on a timer unless the server restarted while this timer was still counting down. An admin would have to check that possibility, of course.

My next thought would be that something else further in the map triggers the reset for that room, such as finishing the map or going into the final room. Perhaps the last person to play through the map before you guys had finished that room but then not finished the map, and maybe in mine and ryan's run we had finished the room but decided to restart afterwards before finishing the map? Idk, like nons said the admins would have to check the possibilities.

Could not diagnose the problem the door was closed when i looked. I presume the issue occurs after the button press?

Thanks for replying

That's weird, it must've somehow reset itself, maybe it resets after leaving the room at the bossfight? I don't remember anything about a button press personally, it's been a while since I did that part of the map. But I will say that it would be logical if the entire king's room part resets whenever someone enters it, but it didn't in our case. We didn't do anything when we got in and then we noticed that the entire part was already solved for us (i.e. the king's bedroom door was open). I don't know how the reset mechanism works, so I don't really know what and what not to tell you about the situation

EDIT: Okay, so me and duckle ran kakashi again and noticed that there is probably some sort of cooldown on the reset mechanism, this also seems consistent with Scyxer's experience (it resets somewhere in the spot where you enter the castle from the bridge, not sure where exactly)
