Because dis didn't notice, the scoring is dependant on your accuracy in distance to the city/province. For example, Chateau de St Germain de livit is in a French city/province named St Getmain devlivit. I got a very good score because I zoomed into the guess map until I found that name and selected there. If you just place it within the country/state, you will lose a good chunk of points dependant on your random selection.

yeah sure i can also get a very good score if i spend 30 minutes zooming in on the map searching for the name of whatever city you're in

I'm not sure if that's the point of the game, but okay.

but im too tired to do that now tbh

I know, The one I had in Canabananada :)p) put me smack dab in the middle of a highway. I backtracked forever until I found a landmark. The Australian one was easier because I have never seen a white center dividing line in pictures of any other country. Then I turned the camera and there was a sign, lol.

It's not even that hard tbh, it jsut takes forever

I tried to get one correct yesterday, and it took me about 30 minutes, but i actually got it 5km because i was just clicking somewhere in the city i was in (easton in washington, usa, iirc)

you can go into one direction until you reach city and continue from there

the real challenge is when youre in russia, japan, thailand, or any other country that doesnt use normal letters.

Actually, I think its easy when you are in a place like russia or japan, because they have very distinctive alphabets that make id of the country easy. (I might be helped by the fact that I know Chinese and therefore don't get Chinese and Japanese mixed up :p)

I don't know any asian languages, but they are very distinct when you know what to look for. Chinese is very boxy and uses sharp corners, Japanese is very curvy and usually less crowded looking than Chinese, and Korean uses a lot of ovals and circles. The big problems come frim areas that use the same language (US and a lot of Canada) or character set you don't know how to read (any part of the former USSR I believe. I know Bulgarian looks like it's written in the same characters as Russian). Then there are the languages that are extremely similar and are written with the same characters (Spanish and Portuguese for example).

well
the point is to find out where EXACTLY you are in those countries because all the foreign letters makes it harder (at least for me), to do a good search

and just for the record i can read a little japanese, and even then its 300 times as hard
