Taking Damage and Jumping

I found an exploit.

Basically if you jump right before taking damage you can jump 1.5(and sometimes up to 2) blocks high. This could be done by either burn damage, fall damage(while lagging) or starve damage.

I have seen countless of maps where this is possible, and I thought I should probably say it now, before more maps are made where this exploit is possible.

I've made numerous attempts to combat this, but minecrafts mechanics inherently knock you back whenever you take damage. With just a tiny bit of lag it's possible to have already jumped before taking damage, which will then boost the jump. I've tried setting velocity to zero after taking damage - this only made it easier- and tried dealing damage pluginwise - this didn't do anything. Not sure if there are any other possibilities.

ricky, the main potential solution I can think of only deals with the hunger part of the issue. There is a secondary solution, but it would destroy a lot of map mechanics and therefore should not be considered.

Set the Attribute "KnockbackResistance" for all players to 1.0. This seems to fix the issue.

I'm not sure if it has any negative consequences other than combat (hitting players with bows/arrows/tnt/swords/etc does not knock them back anymore), but for parkouring it should at least be resolved. I think that for PvP locations we can find a workaround locally.
