hi, friends, I hope you're having a good day.

Today I am happy to announce the

You've been expecting this, haven't you?

Well even if you haven't, here it is! Once again, we're back with a large superflat area where you'll be able to build anything to your hearts content - as long as it's a puzzle! Mixed puzzles are allowed, but the majority of the map must be puzzle!

Here's everything you need to know.

The building area opens on June 1st and closes on August 31st 2020. Extensions for scripts and minor tweaks will be possible for up to 2 weeks after the closing date.

From writing this post (May 28th) to the competition start date (June 1st), the building area will not be open. This is your time to fully flesh out your ideas on paper or...

What's that, another event? YES!

For those who want a slight puzzle break from the Minr Cup, we have the Amazing Race!
The event was started way back in 2014 by HC12345. It's been hosted by a variety of hosts (Including me), and now I, along with MeisterXehanort, will lead you through the newest installment.

For those who have not participated before, it works like this: Racers compete either as individuals or in a team of two. Everyone starts off at the end of the previous leg (Which was at Mintspawn), is given a clue, and must locate each subsequent clue on their own, working with what they are given. After completing a series of challenges and jumping from place to place, teams will reach the finish line!

We don't have any special prizes for the winners, but small prefix badges indicating 1st, 2nd and 3rd place are likely to be given in chat. (The real reward is participating, anyway.)

- You are allowed (required) to use /warp to get from place...

(narrator) The battle of champions, this is, The Minr Cup

*shivers* Okay, now that we've gotten the cringe out of the way, I'm pleased to announce the return of the Minr Cup, alongside a few changes! For those who weren't here the last time around, the Minr Cup in short is a parkour event/tournament involving some of Minr's best parkour maps and different gamemodes of your choosing. Players compete in head-to-head matches, where the best will advance through a two-stage tournament to determine the best of the parkour players on Minr. As an upgrade from last time, the top three finishers will receive a prize of $25, $15 and $10 respectively.

The event will begin on Monday, May 4th 2020, and run for three weeks (1 week per stage), and once again employ a lax scheduling system that allows players to play their matches whenever they want.

More info here in the full Minr Cup guide (trust me, it's worth the read):

Welcome back to our yearly map competitions!
This is me, your lovely host, presenting you with:

MINR's 2019 Co-Op Map Building Competition!

This year's theme, as voted by you is co-op maps: maps that require at least two people to complete.

For the full definition, I will once again quote yeroc (or, now, the wiki):

Co-op maps are a sub-type. Co-op maps are designed specifically for two or more people. The challenge may require you to work with another person to beat it, or it may pit you up against the other person.
Just like the last few competitions, you can build anywhere you want.

Here are the rules. Please read these carefully, as the rules are not entirely the same as the last competition.
  1. Everyone Green+ is allowed to enter, however judges who enter will not be eligible for prizes.
  2. You can enter as many maps as you want. The more...

The Purple Comet is back, and with it comes the brand-spanking new set of Purple Coins! Under the comet's corrupting influence, precious Purple Coins have been scattered across the land. Following the annual tradition, a crowd has gathered to compete to see who can collect the most! Speed is essential, especially given the recent scout reports of airships in the area.

This year, Team Prism challenges two-time champions Team Crimson in the race for the coins!

What is the Purple Comet Event?

The Purple Comet event is an annual high octane intense competition between two teams that takes place all over Zero. The teams search maps in attempts to find elusive Purple Coins hidden throughout them. It tests your skill and knowledge of maps, but is still accessible for people of all skill levels.

What are Purple...
