Welcome to one of the oldest Minecraft servers and communities in the world! Zero.minr.org dates back over 13 years and has been consistently providing endless hours of fun and excitement for players from all over the globe. With an uptime of 99%, you can count on us to be here for you whenever you're in the mood for some challenging minecraft parkour, puzzles and mazes.

Our server is home to over 600+ challenges, each designed to keep you engaged and entertained for months on end. These challenges have been created, tested and curated by our green membership community, who are true experts in all things challenges! Our community is made up of some of the most dedicated and skilled players, who have completed our Hardcore set of challenges and continue to create new and innovative experiences for our server.

Event 2020 Minr Cup!

(narrator) The battle of champions, this is, The Minr Cup

*shivers* Okay, now that we've gotten the cringe out of the way, I'm pleased to announce the return of the Minr Cup, alongside a few changes! For those who weren't here the last time around, the Minr Cup in short is a parkour event/tournament involving some of Minr's best parkour maps and different gamemodes of your choosing. Players compete in head-to-head matches, where the best will advance through a two-stage tournament to determine the best of the parkour players on Minr. As an upgrade from last time, the top three finishers will receive a prize of $25, $15 and $10 respectively.

The event will begin on Monday, May 4th 2020, and run for three weeks (1 week per stage), and once again employ a lax scheduling system that allows players to play their matches whenever they want.

Maintenance [Complete] Hardware maintenance on April 18th

On Saturday, April 18th at 6 AM EST (10 AM UTC), the server will go down for a period of extended maintenance. This is expected to last for approximately 6 hours.

During this time, I will be migrating the server to new hardware that will alleviate the storage issues we encountered last month. We will also see some other hardware improvements from this migration.

Hardware changes are as follows:

CPU – We are moving to one of the strongest processors for single-threaded operations currently available on the market. Single-threaded benchmarks suggest this is about 20% better than the existing processor.
- Benchmarks for multi-threaded operations suggest this is over double our current processor’s strength. If MC continues to offload other operations off the main thread, we will be in a good position on that front as well.
Storage – Quadrupling. This will allow us to keep more backups, and take backups more often.

The eggs are on the prowl again! They've gone and scattered themselves all across Zero, and it's your job to go find them again!

So, how will this event work?
Well, for this version of the Egghunt, there will be 2 distinct parts!

Part 1: The Open World Egg Hunt!
Starting Monday, April 13th at 2pm EST, an lovely medieval and fantastical open world built by the magically talented chayos will open, chocked full of all the eggs you could possibly desire! You job will be to collect them all! There will be no reward for finding all of the eggs in the open world first, so explore and hunt at your own leisure! Update [COMPLETED] Scheduled Maintenance for Friday, 20th December

Friday, the 20th of December, the server will go down for max. 2 hours during maintenance. During this maintenance, the following will be completed:

1.15.1 Update.
Update to Minr Scripts (update notes will follow in the subforum and briefly in a post when the update is live)
Associated bugfixes & minor additions (will be detailed in update post / wiki (see https://wiki.minr.org/Updates))

Do note that the days after this update things can/will break, and please report those as soon as you can on the forums.
We expect the update to 1.15 to go rather smoothly, as the update is minor compared to those to 1.13 and 1.14.

Hopefully, 1.15's performance will be a little better, we noticed that there's been a significant performance decrease due to 1.14, but there's little we can do about that, except stay up-to-date and keep catching all performance improvements Mojang (hopefully) performs.

9 years on and we are still here.

From simple wooden paths, cobblestone mazes and stone parkour we have progressed into something quite wonderful. Personalised creations of epic proportions in Minr have never been so evident, The community has surpassed all expectations, when will you simply run out of ideas?
From a dream of a simple challenge server, Zero has truly exploded into a one of a kind community and you have yourselves to thank for that.

This past year has flown by and it feels like only months ago I was writing our 8th Birthday announcment. With your unconditional contributions to the server you have made zero your home in Minecraft, we will continue to work hard at ensuring those creations are available for all for years to come.

If you are a newcomer to our server, spend a little time getting to know the community you'll soon see why our little community is so highly regarded. Without our community zero would have perished long ago, you keep the dream alive. 9...
